Climate Control Question

I recently notice a growning sound coming from the dash area when the climate contol system is in the auto mode. It seems as though it makes the sound when needs to adjust the temp. Any suggestions or anyones else experiencing the same issue?

Have you gotten this problem resolved. I had to go into the dealer and have this replaced on my 07 RDX under warranty. There is a value that was replaced. I thought it was my stomach making a noise as I drove.

FWIW, my 09 RDX produces a whirring sound (I don't know if I would call it "growning") when I use the front defog feature in the climate controls. However, I should note that it seems to occur only when the car has been driven for a bit (i.e. it will not happen if for example, you start the car and turn ont he front defog).

Not sure if this is normal, but I will get it checked out next time I am in for service!

Crap, my 09 does this when in the auto setting when you start it up. I swear if this is something else wrong with this car it's going back to the dealership for good.

Just purchased 2010 model with AWD 2 weeks back. I had a similar experience about whirring (vroom) sound whenever the A/C was turned off (either in Auto mode or manually turned off) for a couple of days. Not sure if this is a Turbo feature or an issue; the salesperson told me this was due to the Turbo kicking in.

Since yesterday, I don't notice the sound anymore. I will continue monitoring. Anyone else have this issue? In one of the earlier posts, someone mentioned they got it fixed by the dealer by replacing a valve.....any specifics on what valve was replaced?

Thanks.
